Muuttopalvelu Niemi Oy is a family-owned business established in 1981 specializing in moving services and event logistics. The company's budgeted turnover for 2010 is 23 MEUR. We are the leading moving company in Finland, and we employ 240 moving professionals. Our offices are located in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku, Oulu, Jyväskylä and Lahti. Our offices are open on Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Finnish time: EET UTC+2/GMT+2; during summer time UTC+3/GMT+3.)

 

Muuttopalvelu Niemi Oy is a member of the International Association of Movers (IAM) and the first and only Finnish member company of the Federation of European Movers Associations (Fedemac). IAM has over 2,000 moving and forwarding member companies in 165 countries. Fedemac has about 4,000 moving companies in 25 European countries.

For the fifth time in a row Niemi is rated at the top of Taloustutkimus Oy's Yrityskuvat 2009 Suur-Helsingin vaikutusalueella* (research on corporate image in the Helsinki Metropolitan Region carried out by Taloustutkimus Oy, a Finnish market research company). This study evaluated seven companies in the field of moving services. Niemi received a general score of 8.58, which is clearly higher than the average score of the competitors, 7.78.

 

When choosing moving services, customers assessed reliability, professionalism and good customer service among the most important factors. All of them are Niemi's strengths. In addition, people appreciate suitability of the equipment and versatile services, in which we also received excellent scores. As a whole, Niemi still has the strongest image and is the best-known company in its field.

 

In the research, the respondents were asked to evaluate 9 corporate image factors: customer service, price level, communication/marketing, professionalism of the staff, reliability, suitability of the transport equipment, versatility of the services, international connections and future prospects.

 

Customers are satisfied with Niemi's service. In the research, the respondents were asked to evaluate corporations on a scale of 4-10. Niemi received over twice as many excellent scores (9-10) as the competitors on average.

General scores 2005-2009

In a comparison between seven moving companies, Niemi received clearly the best general score. In addition, our general score was the highest of the whole comparison period (2005-2009).
